What would Elvis Presley be doing if he were alive? I
often wonder, what would have happened if things were different on
August 16, 1977.
What if Elvis Presley would have survived the episode that fateful day?
What if Elvis were alive today?
Would he be living his life differently from what he was living back in
the 1970s?
I think he would because of his great love for family. I believe that
Elvis loved his daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, with all of his heart. The
life that he was living, because of his career, made it difficult for
him to present himself to her, like other fathers. That certainly didn't
make him a bad father. Just different.
However, I believe that if Elvis would have survived, he would have
eventually changed his life. His daughter was only nine years old when
he passed away. If Elvis would have survived, he would have been able to
experience his daughter growing into the woman that she is.
He would have also enjoyed the birth and growth of his grandchildren, as
well. I think when his daughter began maturing, she would have come to
understand her father more. Elvis would have had someone to confide in
that he loved and that loved him.
Furthermore, he would have seen traits of his mother in her. In his
grandchildren also. That's the nice thing about genetics. This would
have made all the difference for Elvis. He would have been very close to
his daughter. He would have been very close to his grandchildren as
well.
Elvis would have been able to attend his daughter's wedding, along with
his grandchildren. I think it's possible for him and Priscilla to of
reconciled.
A lot of things change, with age. The world would not have perceived
Elvis the way it does now. Elvis would have had the chance to age
gracefully, mature, and move on. He would have had the chance to explore
new things in his career.
His audience would have accepted that and respected him for it. I think
that Elvis could have made some great movies. He had the potential to be
a good actor. In fact, he was a good actor. He just didn't get good
scripts. I think Elvis would have done a lot more with gospel music had
he survived. He loved gospel music.
However, I believe the biggest impact to change Elvis would have been
his daughter and his grandchildren. He would have been able to help his
daughter with her own problems, many of which he may have experienced
himself.
He would have been able to do the same thing with his grandchildren.
These things would have had an impact on Elvis. He would have felt like
he was making a difference in the lives of the ones he loves most. This
is important to all of us.
There are a lot of "would of"s in this writing. But I can't help but
think, if Elvis only "would of" survived... |
